PERSONAL
- Appeared in five games as a reserve defensive lineman and on special teams … saw action in all three non-conference games and then twice during Big 12 play against Kansas (10/11) and at West Virginia (11/29).
- Totaled three tackles on the season, including one that went for a loss … recorded a tackle in the season opener against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (8/30) and then had two stops later in the year versus Kansas … one of his two tackles against the Jayhawks went for a one-yard loss late in the win … marked the first game of his career with multiple tackles.
- Scout team member … recognized as the defensive scout team player of the week following Texas Tech’s regular-season win over BYU (11/8).
- NCAA TRANSFER PORTAL: entered the transfer portal following the season, eventually signing with Abilene Christian.
2024 SEASON (SOPHOMORE)
- Returned to the defensive line room as a sophomore … made his collegiate debut in the regular-season finale against West Virginia … credited with one tackle over his 10 defensive snaps in the victory over the Mountaineers.
2023 SEASON (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN)
- Moved from the defensive side of the ball to the offensive line during preseason camp … did not see any game action; was on the scout team.
2022 SEASON (FRESHMAN)
- Redshirt season … did not see any game action … scout team member.
HIGH SCHOOL
- Attended Bryan High School in Bryan, Texas … three-year letterwinner for the Vikings … was a multi-sport athlete, competing in football, basketball, baseball and track and field.
- Received first team All-District 12-6A honors as both a defensive end and long snapper his senior season … previously a first team All-District 12-6A honoree as a defensive end his junior year.
PERSONAL
- Tanner Allen … son of Britt and Cheryl Allen, both of whom are Texas Tech graduates … younger brother to Tyler and older brother to Tate and Trace.
- Hobbies include hunting and fishing.
- Pursuing a natural resource management degree at Texas Tech.
