- Already named a captain ahead of his 2026 senior season, his fifth as a Red Raider … joined by linebacker Ben Roberts as the first two Red Raiders to earn a “C” on their jersey during spring practices … likely Rimington Trophy candidate with no sacks allowed over his career.
2025 SEASON (JUNIOR)
- Staple in the middle of Texas Tech’s offensive line for a second-consecutive season … started all 14 games for the Red Raiders at center, marking the second-consecutive season to start in every game … will enter his 2026 senior season among Texas Tech’s most-experienced players with 27 career starts.
- Failed to allow a sack for a second-consecutive season, according to Pro Football Focus … allowed only four pressures overall over 505 pass-blocking opportunities, making him one of only two power conference centers to allow four or fewer pressures on the season with no sacks, joining Florida State’s Luke Petitbon … cut his pressures allowed down significantly from his debut season in 2024, going from 12 pressures allowed to only four.
- Received the highest pass-blocking grade in the country by PFF among centers with at least 500 offensive snaps … had a 90.9 pass-blocking grade that was the highest of his career … heads into his senior season with no sacks allowed over 1,087 career offensive snaps per PFF, placing him in a select category among the top centers in college football.
- Credited with 962 offensive snaps by PFF, which led the team … total number of offensive snaps ranked ninth nationally among FBS centers and led the Big 12 … in fact, led all Big 12 players, regardless of position, for total offensive snaps.
- Leader for a Red Raider offense that finished seventh for scoring at 39.4 points per game, the highest single-season average since Patrick Mahomes II’s final season at quarterback in 2016 … the Red Raiders were also 10th nationally for total offense (461.4 yards per game), 15th for passing yards a game (278.5) and 33rd for rushing yards per game (182.9) … balance allowed the Red Raiders to be the lone Big 12 program and one of seven nationally to boast 3,500 passing yards and 2,500 rushing yards in the season.
- AWARDS AND HONORS: an All-Big 12 third team honoree by the conference coaches … tabbed to the preseason watch list for the Rimington Trophy … also recognized for his pro potential as a member of the Shrine Bowl 1,000 list.
2024 SEASON (SOPHOMORE)
- Earned the starting job at center out of preseason camp … started at center in all 13 games, joining only fellow offensive lineman Caleb Rogers as well as wide receiver Caleb Douglas as the only offensive players to do so … one of seven players on the entire team to start in all 13 games.
- Did not allow a single sack in his 581 pass-blocking opportunities on the season according to Pro Football Focus … allowed only 13 pressures altogether with three quarterback hits and 10 hurries … marked the second-lowest total on the team for pressures allowed behind only Davion Carter’s eight pressures … finished with a 98.9 pass-blocking efficiency rating that was second on the offensive line only behind Carter (90.0).
- Received an 87.1 grade as a pass blocker by PFF, which ranked fourth nationally among centers with at least 500 snaps … trailed only the likes of Luke Petitbon of Wake Forest (89.4), Jacob Gardner of Colorado State (88.6) and Jakai Clark of SMU (88.5) … of that group, only Petitbon will return to college football for the 2025 season as he transferred to Florida State for his final year of eligibility.
- Credited with 1,021 offensive snaps by PFF, which ranked second on the team only behind Caleb Rogers (1,025) … was the second-highest total among centers nationally … trailed only Jake Majors of Texas who played in three more games.
- Part of an offense that ultimately finished in the top 10 nationally for scoring, total yards per game and passing yards per game … the Red Raiders averaged 37.6 points per game, their highest average since when Patrick Mahomes II was quarterback in 2016 and Texas Tech averaged 43.7 points a contest.
- AWARDS AND HONORS: recognized for his work in the classroom as part of the Academic All-Big 12 first team.
2023 SEASON (REDSHIRT SEASON)
- Served as Texas Tech’s backup center as a redshirt freshman … appeared in two games overall against Tarleton State (9/16) and in the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl versus Cal (12/16) … inserted late against Tarleton State for his collegiate debut.
2022 SEASON (FRESHMAN)
- Redshirt season … did not see any game action … was often an injury away from playing time late in the season as a key backup to Dennis Wilburn at center … scout team member.
HIGH SCHOOL
- Attended Argyle High School in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex … helped lead Argyle to a perfect 16-0 record and the Class 4A Division I state title his junior season … helped push Argyle to the regional finals his senior season.
- Tabbed the District 7-4A Offensive Lineman of the Year each of his junior and senior seasons … garnered first-team All-State honors as a senior by the Texas Sports Writers Association (TSWA) … invited to play in the Under Armour All-American game following his senior season …
