2023 SEASON (JUNIOR)
Successfully moved to the opposite side of the line as the starting left tackle … started and played in 11 of 13 games overall, missing the Kansas road trip late in the season due to injury as well as the Radiant Technologies Independence Bowl against Cal … ended his Red Raider career with 21 starts between the two tackle spots … credited with playing in 894 offensive snaps by Pro Football Focus, which ranked third on the team behind only Rusty Staats and Caleb Rogers … received a 68.3 overall grade for the season by the publication after allowing two sacks, three quarterback hits, 10 hurries and 15 pressures over 476 opportunities … graded out at 70.0 or above over a three-game stretch versus Kansas State (10/14), BYU (10/21) and TCU (11/2) … received his highest grade of the season against the Horned Frogs, finishing at 78.3 overall … well regarded as a pass blocker with a 79.4 grade that led the team … had a grade of 80.0 or higher as a pass blocker in five different contests - at Wyoming (90.3), at Baylor (81.7), versus Kansas State (89.), at BYU (88.9) and against TCU (87.1) … closed the year with a 98.2 pass blocking efficiency by PFF, which was higher than his 2022 sophomore season … NCAA TRANSFER PORTAL: did not participate in the Independence Bowl after electing to enter the NCAA transfer portal following the regular season.

Quickly developed a role as the starting right tackle during his first season as a Red Raider … started in 10 games at right tackle, missing three games midway through Big 12 play due to an ankle injury … held out of the lineup over a three-game stretch against West Virginia, Baylor and TCU … ranked fourth on the team with 856 total offensive snaps, all of which came at right tackle … was Texas Tech’s highest-graded offensive lineman according to Pro Football Focus (63.4) … allowed only one sack over 524 opportunities according to PFF, finishing with a 97.5 pass blocking efficiency … had a pass blocking grade at 70.0 or higher against four power-five foes in N.C. State (9/17), Texas (9/24), Oklahoma (11/26) and in the TaxAct Texas Bowl versus Ole Miss (12/28) … put together his highest pass blocking rating of the year in the overtime win over Texas (78.1) … also a member of the Red Raiders’ field goal protection unit.
