- Finished fifth on the team with 43 tackles (27 solo) to go along with three interceptions, three pass breakups and a fumble recovery … was second on the team for interceptions, trailing only fellow safety C.J. Baskerville, who had four on the season … did not have a single interception in 13 career games played before his first of the season at Washington State.
- Posted at least two tackles in all 11 games played with four or more stops in five of those contests … recorded majority of his season tackle total during Big 12 play with 33 of his 43 overall coming against league opponents … shared the team high for tackles in one game, which came in the win at Iowa State … two of his three pass breakups on the season came during the conference slate … shared two tackles for loss on the season, which both came during Big 12 play.
- Credited with 606 defensive snaps by Pro Football Focus, which ranked fifth on the team despite missing two games and playing only seven snaps against Cincinnati … saw an additional 46 snaps on special teams, primarily on either the field goal block or kickoff coverage units.
- Publication listed him with being targeted through the air 17 times on the season with 10 of those resulting in completions (58.8 percent) … his percentage was the third lowest on the team among those with at least 10 targets, trailing only Brenden Jordan (57.6) and Bralyn Lux (58.5).
- Recorded two of his three interceptions on the season during non-conference play, picking off passes at Washington State (9/7) and versus North Texas (9/14) … spoiled early field position for Washington State by picking off a John Mateer pass on the second play of the game … dove to catch a deflected pass a week later against North Texas that was the third and final interception of a game-changing second quarter … the Red Raiders scored a few players later on a Jalin Conyers 10-yard touchdown reception for a 52-7 lead at halftime … combined for eight tackles during that stretch with two against both ACU and Washington State and then four versus the Mean Green … also had a pass breakup in the overtime win over ACU, the first of his career.
- Opened Big 12 play with a career-high seven tackles in the win over Arizona State (9/21) to go along with another pass breakup … matched that total twice later in the season with seven stops at both TCU (10/26) and at Iowa State (11/2).
- Contributed to Texas Tech’s takeaway efforts as part of his big outings against TCU and Iowa State, recording his second career interception versus the Horned Frogs while recovering a key fumble in the win over the Cyclones … interception came on TCU’s first drive of the second half, giving the Red Raiders the ball back for an eventual Will Hammond rushing touchdown and a 31-14 lead at the time … also shared a tackle for loss with Brenden Jordan against TCU, causing a key fourth-down stop midway through the second quarter in Texas Tech territory … performance came after missing the previous two games and most of the Cincinnati victory due to injury.
- Fumble recovery also came at a key moment at Iowa State, halting the Cyclones opening drive of the second half on a key punchout by Jacob Rodriguez … also recorded his third pass breakup of the season earlier in the road ranked win over the Cyclones.
- Posted two tackles in three games – versus Cincinnati (9/28), Colorado (11/9) and the AutoZone Liberty Bowl against Arkansas (12/27) – while adding three stops at Oklahoma State (11/23) and five in the regular-season finale versus West Virginia (11/30) … combined with John Curry to stop West Virginia for a two-yard loss on its opening drive, forcing a failed fourth-down attempt in Texas Tech territory to start one of the Red Raiders’ best defensive performances of the season.
