2024 SEASON (FRESHMAN)
HIGH SCHOOL
PERSONAL
- Redshirt season … did not see any game action as a true freshman … mid-year enrollee who moved from the offensive line to the defensive side of the ball late in spring practices … rotated between the defensive line and outside linebackers room during the season … named the defensive scout team player of the week following Texas Tech’s win at Iowa State.
HIGH SCHOOL
- Local product out of Shallowater High School … started in the trenches on both sides of the ball for the Mustangs … initially recruited for the offensive line before beginning his collegiate career on defense.
- Three-time first team All-District honoree on the offensive line … tabbed to the All-District 2-3A first team as a defensive lineman his senior season after helping push the Mustangs to the area round of the Class 3A Division I playoffs in each of his final two seasons after an appearance in the regional semifinals in 2021.
- An All-State second team honoree as a junior in 2022 by the Texas Sports Writers Association (TSWA) and Padilla Poll … member of the Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) 3A Super Elite Team that same season … entered his senior season as one of the state’s top 10 offensive tackles by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football.
- Dual-sport athlete like other offensive line signees at Texas Tech under Joey McGuire … member of the basketball program at Shallowater as well as the track and field program … competed in both the discus and shot put for track program.
- Among one of the first prospects to commit to Texas Tech for the 2024 class … consensus three-star prospect by the likes of Rivals, 247Sports, ESPN and On3 … ranked at No. 54 nationally by On3 among interior linemen and No. 74 by ESPN … graduated in Dec. 2023 to join the Red Raiders in the spring of 2024 … CHOSE TEXAS TECH OVER: Texas, Oklahoma and TCU.
