2022 SEASON (JUNIOR)
Saw action in 12 games during final season as a Red Raider … once again a regular in the defensive line rotation … totaled 18 tackles (13 solo) on the year, the most thus far in his career … of that total, recorded 4.5 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks, both career bests … recorded 11 of his 18 tackles and all of his TFL and sack totals during non-conference play … credited with appearing in 217 snaps defensively by Pro Football Focus … SEASON HIGHLIGHTS: opened the season with four tackles in the win over Murray State (9/3), which included career highs for tackles for loss (3.0) and sacks (2.0) … his 3.0 tackles for loss marked the most, at the time, for a Red Raider since Jordyn Brooks recorded 4.0 at Oklahoma State in 2019 … one of 15 FBS players nationally to record 3.0 tackles for loss during opening week of the college football season … followed with three tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss in the win over Houston (9/10) and then four stops at N.C. Became a regular in the defensive line rotation as a sophomore … appeared in all 13 games, rotating between nose tackle and the end positions … totaled 16 tackles overall (8 solo), including 1.5 that went for a loss … found his way in the backfield with two quarterback hurries … reached three or more tackles in three different games overall … SEASON HIGHLIGHTS: put together the best performance of his young career later in the season with a career-high six tackles against Oklahoma State (11/20) … outing included his season total of 1.5 tackles for loss, also a career-high … had three tackles twice earlier in the season against Stephen F.
