2022 SEASON (SENIOR)
Closed his Red Raider career as Texas Tech’s primary starter at left guard … appeared and started in 12 of 13 games, missing only the non-conference finale at N.C. State (9/17) … had started in 32-consecutive games prior to missing the N.C. State contest … wrapped his career with 43 career starts, which ranked second overall on the team and led the offense … made 35 of his career starts at left guard, all that came in last three years … credited with playing in 978 offensive snaps by Pro Football Focus, which ranked third on the team … surrendered four sacks and 24 total pressures over 575 opportunities, according to PFF, finishing with a 97.6 pass blocking efficiency rating … percentage ranked tied for second overall among offensive linemen with at least 100 snaps … graded out at 80.0 as a pass blocker in four different games – against Houston (9/10), West Virginia (10/22), TCU (11/5) and Iowa State (11/19) … the Red Raiders were 3-1 in those games … was also above 75.0 twice in wins over Kansas (11/12) and in the TaxAct Texas Bowl versus Ole Miss (12/28) … made one tackle on the year, which came in the regular-season finale against Oklahoma (11/26) … also a member of the field goal protection unit on special teams … AWARDS AND HONORS: second team Academic All-Big 12 honoree … 2023 NFL DRAFT: announced his intentions to enter the 2023 NFL Draft, foregoing his final year of eligibility in the process.
2021 SEASON (JUNIOR)
Continued to be a regular starter on the offensive line as a junior … made the start at left guard in all 13 games, pushing his consecutive-games streak to 30 entering 2022 … will be the longest consecutive games started streak among returning Red Raiders heading into the 2022 campaign … joined fellow offensive linemen Caleb Rogers and Josh Burger as well as wide receiver Kaylon Geiger Sr. as the only offensive players to start in all 13 games … credited with appearing in 803 offensive snaps, which ranked third on the offense only behind both Burger (840) and Rogers (808) … graded out at 60.2 on the season according to Pro Football Focus … best performance of the year was a 74.2 grade versus Florida International (9/18), which featured an 86.7 grade in pass protection … allowed only one sack, four quarterback hits and 14 quarterback hurries over the course of 444 snaps in pass protection … received several reps during preseason camp at center, which paid off with one series away from his regular position against FIU … AWARDS AND HONORS: recognized for work in the classroom as part of Academic All-Big 12 second team.
2020 SEAS0N (SOPHOMORE)
Moved over to left guard as a sophomore, starting in all 10 games … was previously inserted as the starter at right guard in 2019 … has started in 18 games over his career and in each of the last 17-consecutive contests … number of career starts ranked fifth on the team and second among offensive players returning for the 2021 season … part of an offensive line that allowed only 1.60 sacks per game, which ranked 30th nationally and third in the Big 12 … unit also ranked second in the conference after surrendering only 5.40 tackles for loss per game … AWARDS AND HONORS: garnered honorable mention All-Big 12 accolades by the conference coaches … was a fourth team All-Big 12 honoree by Phil Steele Magazine … recognized on the Academic All-Big 12 first team for a second-consecutive season.
2019 SEASON (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN)
Became a regular on the offensive line in his second season with the Red Raiders … appeared in all 12 games with eight starts … each of his eight starts came at right guard … made the first start of his career against UTEP (9/7) before returning to the starting rotation at Baylor (10/12) … started each of the final seven games of the season ... part of an offensive line that allowed only 1.5 sacks per game, good for second in the Big 12 … the line surrendered only 18 sacks despite throwing the ball 531 times, leading the Big 12 and ranking seventh nationally… Red Raiders ended the season among the top passing offenses in the country, ranking seventh in passing yards per game ... AWARDS AND HONORS: earned first team Academic All-Big 12 honors.
