2023 SEASON (SOPHOMORE)
Appeared in all 13 games as a sophomore with eight starts at one of the two guard positions … made one start at right guard early in the season against Oregon (9/9) and then at left guard over the final seven games of the regular season … marked the most starts in a season thus far in his collegiate career … entered the season as a backup to Cole Spencer at left guard … credited with appearing in 598 offensive snaps by Pro Football Focus, which ranked eighth on the team and fifth on the offensive line … received a 78.6 overall grade for pass blocking by the publication after allowing five hurries and five pressures over 303 opportunities … graded out at 70.0 or above as a pass blocker in six of his eight starts during Big 12 play, including twice at 80.0 or above at BYU (10/21) and at Kansas (11/11) … received an 86.8 pass blocking grade at BYU and a 84.8 grade at Kansas … also a member of the field goal protection unit throughout the season … NCAA TRANSFER PORTAL: elected to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal immediately following Texas Tech’s bowl victory over Cal.
2022 SEASON (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN)
Developed into a reliable option in the middle of the offensive line as a redshirt freshman … appeared in 12 of 13 games with six starts, including in each of the final five games of the season … missed only Texas Tech’s overtime victory over Houston (9/10) early in the season … made his first career start the following week at left guard in the road trip to N.C.
