2018 SEASON (SENIOR)
Appeared in all 12 games during his lone season as a Red Raider following his transfer … made an immediate impact and added to the depth of a veteran defensive line unit … appeared in all 12 games, while making three starts at nose tackle … finished with 21 tackles on the year, including 2.5 that went for a loss ... SEASON HIGHLIGHTS: snagged a tackle in the season opener against Ole Miss (9/1) in his return to the city of Houston … previously played at Rice University before transferring to Texas Tech … applied pressure to the quarterback once and recorded four total tackles in a blowout win over Lamar (9/8) … notched a season-high five tackles, including an assisted tackle for a loss, in the non-conference finale against Houston (9/15) … tallied a tackle and a half for a loss and finished with two total tackles overall in a road win at Oklahoma State (9/22) to open Big 12 play … racked up another two tackles and an assisted tackle for a loss the following week against West Virginia (9/29) … posted one tackle in three-straight games versus Kansas (10/20), Iowa State (10/27) and Oklahoma (11/3) … rounded out his collegiate career with three tackles on Senior Night versus Texas (11/10) and another tackle versus Baylor (11/24) in Arlington.
2017 SEASON (JUNIOR AT RICE)
Ended his career at Rice with 28 starts on the defensive line … started in all 12 games as a junior, totaling 34 tackles, including 4.5 for a loss … one of those came via a sack that resulted in a seven-yard loss … notched two pass breakups and four quarterback hurries as well … best performances of the season came via five tackles against both Pittsburgh (9/30) and Southern Miss (11/11) … notched at least two tackles in 10 games on the year … also had four tackles versus UTEP (9/9) and Army (10/7) … elected to transfer following his junior season after earning his degree from Rice … chose Texas Tech over offers from Kansas and West Virginia and interest from Alabama, Tennessee, TCU and others.
2016 SEASON (SOPHOMORE AT RICE)
Appeared in 11-of-12 games as a sophomore with 10 starts … led interior linemen with 31 tackles and 6.5 tackles for a loss … finished tied for the team high with 3.5 sacks … lone missed game of the year came against Baylor (9/16) … recorded at least two tackles in eight games … notched a season-high five tackles in the victory over Army (9/10) … had five tackles in four different games: North Texas (9/24), UTSA (10/15), Louisiana Tech (10/29), Florida Atlantic (11/5) and Charlotte (11/12) … either combined or had a solo tackle for a loss in seven different games.
2015 SEASON (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN AT RICE)
Made six starts at defensive tackle while playing in all 12 games during debut season with the Owls … recorded 22 tackles (16 solo) on the year, including 6.5 that went for a loss … was second on the team in tackles for a loss and third with 2.5 sacks … led the interior line for tackles for a loss and in sacks … recorded a tackle for a loss in six of the last seven games of the season … best performance on the year came versus Western Kentucky (10/3) with a season-high six tackles … notched at least two tackles in five games … posted four tackles against Florida Atlantic and then three against both Baylor (9/26) and UTSA (11/21) … clinched the Florida Atlantic win with a sack of quarterback Jaquez Johnson on fourth down … finished FAU game with season bests for sacks (1.5) and tackles for loss (2.0).
