JUNIOR (2016-17)
Finished the season with a 18-3 overall record, 16-2 mark in dual matches and a perfect 4-0 against Big 12 opponents... Ranked second in school history for her singles winning percentage for the season (0.889, 16-2)... Played the majority of the season at the No. 5 position where she posted a perfect 13-0 record, ranking fifth in the school record book... was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team in singles and doubles for the first time in her career... Selected to the Academic All-Big 12 team for the second straight year... earned the 2017 ITA Texas Region Cissie Leary Award for Sportsmanship, the first for the Texas Tech program... Played at the No. 1 and No. 2 spot in doubles with teammate Sarah Dvorak... Ranked as high as No. 24 in the Oracle/ITA doubles ranking (March 7) and finished at No. 33... The duo earned their highest ranked win of the season over No. 5 Vladica Babic and Carla Tur Mari of Oklahoma State... the pair claimed another win over OSU's top doubles team in the championship match of the Big 12 Tournament... Dvorak and Federici qualified for the NCAA Doubles Championship and fell to No. 15 Alex Chatt and Maddie Lipp of Northwestern... Was named team captain by her teammates. FALL: Rolled through the fall season with a 10-2 singles record and a 6-3 doubles record... SOPHOMORE (2015-16)
Finished second on the Lady Raiders with 29 victories as the program made its second-straight NCAA Tournament Round of 16 appearance … Ended the campaign 29-9 overall, 16-2 in dual matches and 4-1 in Big 12 play … One of four Lady Raiders named to the All-Big 12 Second Team … Played primarily in the No. 5 slot during dual matches and won 12 of her 13 decisions … Posted a combined 4-1 record at the No. 3, No. 4 and No. 6 positions … Ended the year with the team’s longest winning streak and captured her final five decisions … Successful against nationally ranked opponents and won three matches … In doubles, ended the campaign with a 23-15 mark … Shared time between the No. 2 and 3 slots … Capped the campaign in the No. 2 spot of doubles with Felicity Maltby and cruised to four victories in six matches … Amassed a 16-6 record with Maltby for the entire season … Dominant in the first 15 matches of the dual match campaign where she posted a 14-1 record with her lone setback to No. 109 Kennedy Shaffer of No. 2 Georgia … Bounced back in next match and downed No. 80 Wendy Zhang of No. 11 Miami in comeback fashion, 1-6, 7-5, 6-3 … Racked up 14 of her 16 dual match wins in straight sets … Helped push the Lady Raiders back to the NCAA Round of 16 with a 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 victory against Mississippi State’s Kristina Vozniak that gave Texas Tech a 3-2 lead in a match the Lady Raiders would win 4-2 … Started the spring with a 10-2 mark in doubles … Gave the Lady Raiders an early edge in doubles against No. 35 TCU in the Big 12 Tournament semifinals, pairing with Maltby for a 6-0 sweep, versus Aleksandra Zenovka and Alexis Pereira at No. 2 … Put together a strong fall campaign and turned in a 10-8 singles record ... Ranked No. 86 in the Oracle/ITA fall singles ledger ... In doubles, tallied an 8-4 record pairing with Sarah Dvorak, Maltby, Gabriela Talaba and Autumn Crossnoe ... FALL: Opened the fall with a singles setback at the Midland Invitational before ripping off four consecutive victories in the consolation round ... Dropped three consecutive matches at the Oklahoma Invitational after an opening round win ... Made another run at the ITA Texas Regionals and reached the quarterfinal round ... Defeated No. 107 Stefania Hristov of Texas A&M in the ITA Texas Regionals Round of 16 to punch quarterfinal spot ... Also impressive in doubles at the ITA Texas Regionals and moved to the quarterfinals with Dvorak after topping teams from UTA and Rice ... Played for the Midland Invitational doubles title with Maltby and dialed up three straight wins before falling to UT Arlington’s Astrid Gehre and Angeles de los Rios ... At the Oklahoma Invitational, went 1-2 in doubles with Talaba and dropped lone decision with Talaba at the Riviera ITA All-America Championships ... Victorious with Crossnoe in one match at the Oklahoma Invitational.
FRESHMAN (2014-15)
Compiled a strong debut season and produced a 21-5 singles record and 20-11 doubles mark ... A strong contender from the No. 5 position in dual matches where she amassed a 10-3 record ... Finished dual matches with an 11-3 singles record and a 3-2 mark in Big 12 matches ... In doubles, teamed mostly with Lynn Kiro as the pair went 16-9 overall and 15-8 in dual matches ... Played all dual matches from the No. 2 spot ... Posted a 2-3 mark against nationally ranked pairs with Kiro ... Started the spring season with a bang winning her first 10 singles decision and didn't suffer her first defeat until March 22 against No. 36 Texas ... Reached a high ranking of No. 120 during the winning streak ... Earned one of the Lady Raiders' two points against No. 19 Oklahoma State with a 6-0, 7-6 (5) victory against Karyn Guttorsmen ... Paired with Kiro to top the No. 26 team of Kelley Anderson and leolia JeanJean of Baylor, 7-6 (5) ... FALL: Had an impressive fall showing where she garnered a 8-2 singles record ... Won the opening six matches of her collegiate career ... Went 3-0 to capture the Purdue Pete Single Bracket title at the Purdue Invitational ... Went 2-1 at the ITA Texas Regional Championships and advanced to the Round of 32 ... Went 2-1 at the Ole Miss Invitational highlighted by a win over Georgia's Ellen Perez, 7-6, 7-5, the former No. 59 junior in the world ... In doubles, ended the fall campaign with a 4-2 mark ... Went 3-1 with Hortense Boscher at the Purdue Invitational ... Also teamed with Boscher and split their two matches at the Ole Miss Invitational.
PRIOR TO TEXAS TECH
One of four players signed to the most decorated recruiting class in program history ... a strong competitor from Great Britain, Federici came to Texas Tech ranked No. 34 in Great Britain's Open Division and was the No. 2 player in Lancashire by the Lawn Tennis Association ... she was a finalist at the (ITF) AEGON British Tour's Nottingham Open, Hull Open, Corby Open and Loughborough Open in women's singles ... advanced to the semifinals in U16 Singles of the British Junior National Championships in 2012 ... won eight events in 2012, including the trifecta at the Lancashire Tennis Championships, as she claimed the U16 singles, doubles and mixed doubles titles ... represented Great Britain at the U16 Winter Cup in the Czech Republic, the U16 European Cup in Romania and at the European Youth Olympics in Turkey ... ranked as high as No. 1 in Great Britain in U16 girls and has held the No. 1 ranking in Lancashire County at U16, U18 and Open ... has also been ranked as high as No. 503 in the world by the ITF.
