Attended Bellaire High School in Houston, Texas … helped lead Bellaire to the Class 5A playoffs during both his junior and senior seasons … was a second team All-Greater Houston selection as a senior … earned second team All-District honors that same season after helping Bellaire average nearly 200 rushing yards per game … Bellaire gained nearly 375 yards per game as a junior, including 260 on the ground … regarded as one of the top 60 offensive tackles in the 2013 recruiting class according to 247Sports … chose Nebraska over offers from Arkansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Virginia, Washington State and Purdue.
