2024 SEASON (REDSHIRT JUNIOR)
Appeared in 11 of 13 games overall as a reserve wide receiver or on special teams โฆ credited with being able to play any of the wide receiver positions โฆ caught one pass for seven yards on the season, which came in the rout of North Texas (9/14) โฆ member of Texas Techโs kickoff return throughout the season and was also utilized on kickoff coverage and punt returns sparingly โฆ NCAA TRANSFERย PORTAL: elected to enter the NCAA transfer portal following the season.
2023 SEASON (JUNIOR)
Redshirt season โฆ utilized redshirt season following preseason decision between him and the coaching staff โฆ still appeared in three games late in the season with two starts โฆ made his two starts in the regular-season finale at Texas (11/24) and in the Independence Bowl versus Cal (12/16) โฆ caught five passes for 41 yards on the season, which all came in those two starts โฆ had two catches for four yards versus the Longhorns and then three catches for 37 yards in the victory over Cal โฆ listed as Texas Techโs emergency quarterback for much of Big 12 play after injuries hampered both Tyler Shough and Behren Morton โฆ actually entered the BYU (10/21) contest midway through the season as the primary backup under center to Jake Strong โฆ rotated into the quarterback room for several weeks during Big 12 play before transitioning back to a wide receiver late in the season.
2022 SEASON (SOPHOMORE)
Developed a role as Texas Techโs most-flexible wide receiver during debut season as a Red Raider โฆ was able to play all four wide receiver positions during the season, appearing in 12 games with one start โฆ missed only the regular-season finale against Oklahoma due to injury โฆ hauled in 13 passes for 125 yards and a touchdown, while also contributing on special teams โฆ all but one of his catches on the season came during Big 12 play โฆ credited with appearing in 224 offensive snaps by Pro Football Focus โฆ caught at least one pass in eight different games โฆ utilized on special teams only in the TaxAct Texas Bowl, which resulted in his lone tackle on the year โฆ SEASON HIGHLIGHTS: made the first catch of his Red Raider career at NC State (9/17), which resulted in 11 yards โฆ catch came on Texas Techโs final drive in the fourth quarter โฆ followed with two catches for 20 yards in the Big 12 opener against Texas โฆ recorded his longest catch of the season at Kansas State (10/1) with one reception for 18 yards โฆ hauled in a season-high three catches for 34 yards at Oklahoma State (10/8) โฆ had two catches against both West Virginia (10/22) and at TCU (11/5), resulting in nine and 12 yards each โฆ other two catches on the year came against Baylor (10/29) for 12 yards and in the bowl win over Ole Miss (12/28) for nine yards โฆ recorded his lone tackle of the year in the win over the Rebels as part of kickoff coverage.
PRIOR TO TEXAS TECH
Transferred to Texas Tech following one season at Minnesota โฆ owned three seasons of eligibility to use with the Red Raiders after appearing in nine games as a true freshman with the Golden Gophers ... 2021 SEASON (FRESHMAN): caught two passes for 18 yards, both of which came during Big Ten play โฆ first career catch went for 12 yards against Nebraska (10/16) โฆ followed with another reception for six yards the next week against Maryland (10/23) โฆ credited with playing in 170 snaps over the first nine games of the season โฆ missed each of the final three games as well as the bowl game.
HIGH SCHOOL
Attended Southlake Carroll High School in Southlake, Texas โฆ considered one of the best wide receivers in the state as part of one of the top high school programs in the country โฆ helped lead the Dragons to the Class 6A Division I state title game his senior year and the regional finals his junior season in 2019 โฆ caught 71 passes for 1,159 yards and 18 touchdowns as a senior en route to earning unanimous All-District 4-6A accolades and All-Area first team honors from the Dallas Morning News โฆ was a first team All-State honoree by the Texas Sports Writers Association (TSWA) ... put together a monstrous final game in a Carroll uniform with 12 catches for 190 yards and two touchdowns in the state title game against Austin Westlake โฆ previously recorded 17 receptions for 261 yards and four touchdowns earlier in the playoffs in the regional final game against Euless Trinity โฆ was one of five games with at least 100 yards during senior season โฆ hauled in 66 receptions for 969 yards and eight touchdowns as a junior as an unanimous All-District 5-6A selection โฆ previously played at Richland High School as a sophomore before moving to Southlake Carroll โฆ three-time first team All-District honoree in high school, earning 3-6A accolades as a sophomore โฆ three-star prospect coming out of high school by the likes of Rivals, 247Sports and ESPN โฆ listed as the No. 58 player in the state of Texas for the 2021 class by Rivals โฆ chose to attend Minnesota over offers from Boise State, Kansas, Liberty, Louisiana, Louisiana Tech, New Mexico, North Texas, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Tulane, Tulsa and Utah โฆ also received offers from two Ivy League schools in Columbia and Dartmouth.

Brady Boyd โฆ son of Kris and Dana Boyd โฆ father is a longtime Texas high school football coach who once worked alongside Texas Tech head coach Joey McGuire at Cedar Hill โฆ father is now an assistant coach at Southlake Carroll and is a former collegiate student-athlete, himself, having played tight end for Howard Payne โฆ has an older brother, Bryce, and a younger brother, Brock โฆ earned a bachelor's degree from Texas Tech in university studies ... enrolled in post-baccalaureate courses.
