PERSONAL
- Appeared in all 14 games as a sophomore as either a reserve on the defensive line or on special teams … rotational player up front who saw defensive snaps in 11 games … also a key member of Texas Tech’s special teams units.
- Recorded two tackles on the season, including one for a sack … notched the first sack of his career in the shutout win over Oklahoma State (10/25), resulting in a seven-yard loss … sack came in the fourth quarter, eventually forcing another punt by the Cowboys … previously had his lone quarterback hurry of the season in the second quarter … only other tackle came in the win over BYU (11/8) later in the season.
- Credited with 70 defensive snaps by Pro Football Focus, which awarded him six pressures … recorded five of those total pressures during big 12 play … added 79 snaps on special teams as a regular member of the punt coverage and field goal block units.
2024 SEASON (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN)
- Made his Red Raider debut by appearing in nine games as a redshirt freshman … saw action as a reserve outside linebacker … missed four games during middle of Big 12 play due to injury.
- Totaled six tackles on the season, which came over five different games … recorded a season-high two stops in the win at Arizona (10/5) … also had single-tackle performances against Abilene Christian (8/31), North Texas (9/14), Colorado (11/9) and at Oklahoma State (11/23).
- Credited with playing in 81 defensive snaps by Pro Football Focus … reached double digits for snaps in four different games - Abilene Christian (26), North Texas (14), West Virginia (13) and Arizona (11).
2023 SEASON (FRESHMAN)
- Redshirt season … did not see any game action following a season-ending injury during preseason camp.
HIGH SCHOOL
- Attended Round Rock High School in the Austin area … explosive defensive lineman who helped lead Round Rock to a pair of nine-win seasons … played every spot along the defensive line and occasionally at tight end during prep career.
- Selected to the final ballot for the Whataburger Super Team presented by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football as a senior … named the District 25-6A Defensive Lineman of the Year as a junior after being credited with 57 tackles, including 11.0 for a loss and one sack … broke up four passes and had two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble that season …
- Member of the Round Rock track and field program, competing in the shot put and discus … launched throws of 42-1 in the shot put and 109-4 in the discus as a junior.
- Tabbed a four-star prospect by ON3.com and a three-star signee by the likes of 247Sports, Rivals and ESPN … ranked 36th among defensive linemen nationally by ON3 and as the No. 57 player in the state of Texas … rated the No. 39 defensive tackle in the country by Rivals and at No. 43 by ESPN … listed as the No. 53 prospect in the state of Texas by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football.
- CHOSE TEXAS TECH OVER: Baylor, Colorado, Houston, SMU, TCU, Texas and UTSA.
