2016 SEASON (JUNIOR)
Served as backup quarterback for his junior campaign … appeared in four games, three of which that came in Big 12 play … finished with 464 yards and six touchdowns through the air on 38-of-58 passing (65.5%) … SEASON HIGHLIGHTS … inserted midway through the third quarter in season opener against Stephen F. Austin (9/3) … finished 18-of-28 for 150 yards and a touchdown versus the Lumberjacks … came close to 300 passing yards in Big 12 opener against Kansas (9/29) … totaled 271 yards and four touchdowns through the air after entering early in the third quarter … three of his four touchdowns against the Jayhawks went for at least 30 yards … found Keke Coutee on 37 and 31-yard touchdown strikes and then Jonathan Giles on a 59-yard bomb over the middle … the 59-yard pass marked his longest completion of his career … finished 4-of-6 for 40 yards and a touchdown after coming on late against West Virginia (10/15) … final appearance came in a series at Iowa State … was 1-of-3 overall for three yards.
