- Appeared in 12 of 13 games during second full season on campus as either a reserve cornerback or special teams member … made three starts at cornerback with two coming during Big 12 play and the other in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl versus Arkansas … missed only the second game of the season at Washington State (9/7)
- Recorded 23 tackles (13 solo) on the season to go along with two pass breakups and a forced fumble … credited with at least one tackle in 10 of 12 games overall and had multiple stops in six of those contests … combined for 16 of his tackles during Big 12 play with approximately half of those coming in his two starts to kick off the league schedule against Arizona State and Cincinnati … both pass breakups, meanwhile, came during Big 12 play as did his forced fumble.
- Saw action in 310 defensive snaps according to Pro Football Focus, which ranked third among cornerbacks on the team (excludes the “star” position) … added an additional 68 snaps on special teams, primarily as part of punt returns and the field goal block units … occasionally utilized on kickoff coverage during the season as well.
- Combined for five tackles during his two games played during non-conference play, finishing with one against Abilene Christian (8/31) and four in the rout over North Texas (9/14).
- Earned his first career start in the Big 12 opener against Arizona State (9/21), finishing with three tackles and a key fourth quarter pass breakup … forced the Sun Devils to turn the ball over on downs after breaking up a Sam Leavitt pass to Cam Skattebo on fourth down in Texas Tech territory.
- Back in the starting lineup the following week against Cincinnati (9/28), posting a season-high five tackles in the win … one of those tackles forced a fumble that was ultimately recovered by Cincinnati … marked the first forced fumble of his career.
- Other pass breakup on the season came at TCU (10/26) to go along with three tackles … was his highest tackle total the rest of the season, finishing with two stops at Arizona (10/5) and one in three-consecutive games versus Colorado (11/9), Oklahoma State (11/23) and West Virginia (11/30) … added two tackles in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl versus Arkansas (12/27) in his third and final start of the season.

- Redshirt season … did not see any game action … scout team member.
HIGH SCHOOL
- Attended Captain Shreve High School in Shreveport, La. … boasted blazing speed that has benefited him at the college level … played primarily at wide receiver in high school before transitioning to the secondary with the Red Raiders.
- Helped push the Gators to a 10-2 season as a junior in 2021 and a second round appearance in the LHSAA Class 5A playoffs … caught nine passes for 262 yards and five touchdowns that season over nine games … team advanced to the second round of the playoffs again as a senior.
- Another Texas Tech signee who stars in track and field as well … clocked as low as 6.94 in the 60 meters, 10.59 in the 100 meters, 21.51 in the 200 meters and 47.18 in the 400 meters … won the state title in the 400 meters, both indoors and outdoors, as a junior … was the state runner-up at the 5A level in the 100 meters that same year … advanced to the state meet as a sophomore, finishing third in the 400 meters … member of the basketball program as well.
- Consensus three-star prospect by the likes of 247Sports, Rivals, ESPN and ON3.com … listed as the No. 58 cornerback in the country and the No. 19 recruit from the state of Louisiana by 247Sports … ranked 52nd among cornerbacks nationally by ON3 and at No. 20 among Louisiana recruits … tabbed the No. 25 recruit in Louisiana by ESPN.
