- Attended Detroit Catholic Central High School in Novi, Mich. … one of the first signees out of the state of Michigan to sign with the Red Raiders in recent memory … two-way player for the Shamrocks as both an offensive tackle and defensive tackle.
- Tabbed an All-Region selection as a senior defensive lineman … helped push the Shamrocks to the MHSAA state semifinals as a senior with a 12-1 overall record … defensively, the Shamrocks allowed only 8.9 points per game his senior year.
- Member of the school’s hockey program early in his prep career.
- Considered a three-star prospect by the likes of On3, 247Sports and ESPN … listed as the No. 4 player in the state of Michigan by On3 and the No. 30 offensive tackle nationally … ranked No. 17 in the state of Michigan by 247Sports … CHOSE TEXAS TECH OVER: Air Force, Akron, Army, Central Michigan, Marshall, Purdue, Indiana and Vanderbilt, among others.
