- Loic Tshibangu ... born in Brugge, Belgium and calls Brussels his hometown.
- Father is Didier Tshibangu, and mother is Charlotte Mwamba Musau.
- Has two older brothers, the eldest Zacharie, and Leon.
- Grew up playing football in Belgium and moved to the United States full-time in 2023 to attend Collin College before enrolling at Texas Tech in the spring of 2024 ... attended a summer camp where he was clocked at 4.48 in the 40-yard dash, sparking a relationship with the Texas Tech coaches.
- His ties to Texas Tech come two of his uncles who were Red Raiders, Loliki Bongo-Wanga (2001-02) and Patrice Majondo-Mwamba (2002-04).
- A third uncle, Gerard Warren, played defensive tackle at Florida under Steve Spurrier and was selected by the Cleveland Browns third overall in the 2001 NFL draft.
