- Heads into his senior season as a potential NFL selection following a strong debut in Texas Tech’s high-scoring offense … ranks as the leading returning tight end for receiving yards from a year ago.
2025 SEASON (JUNIOR)
- Regarded as one of the top tight ends in the country during first season as a Red Raider … appeared in 13 of 14 games overall, missing only the Oklahoma State game (10/25) midway through Big 12 play … started in 12 of those games, with the lone exception being versus Kansas.
- Among the top pass-catching tight ends in the country due to his ability to spread a defense in the slot or in a usual tight end position … caught 55 passes for 624 yards and five touchdowns on the season, finishing second on the team for receptions and fourth for both receiving yards and receiving touchdowns … marked the most receiving yards by a Red Raider tight end since Jace Amaro set an NCAA record in 2013 … added two carries for 24 yards on the ground as well.
- One of four Red Raiders with at least 600 receiving yards, the most for Texas Tech in a single season since the 2016 campaign … marked only the sixth time in program history the Red Raiders had four players with 600 or more receiving yards … joined on that list by wide receivers Caleb Douglas (846), Reggie Virgil (705) and Coy Eakin (637).
- Caught at least one pass in 12 of his 13 games played and had three or more receptions in 10 of those contests … lone game without a catch came in Texas Tech’s lone regular-season loss at Arizona State (10/18) … had 23 of his receptions go for at least 10 yards with 12 of those for 20-plus yards and three for 30 yards.
- AWARDS AND HONORS: an All-Big 12 second team selection by the conference coaches … marked the second-consecutive year a Red Raider tight end had been named to the All-Big 12 first or second team (Jalin Conyers, 2024) … recognized prior to the season for his pro potential as part of the Shrine Bowl 1,000 list.
- IN NCAA RANKINGS: ranked fifth in the FBS for receiving yards among tight ends, trailing only Vanderbilt’s Eli Stowers (769), Houston’s Tanner Koziol (727), Baylor’s Michael Trigg (694) and Ole Miss’ Dae’Quan Wright (635) … was fourth among tight ends for receptions behind only Koziol (74), Stowers (62) and New Mexico’s Dorian Thomas (56).
- IN BIG 12 RANKINGS: ended the year ranked 10th in the league for total receptions (55), 13th for receptions per game (4.2) and 19th for total receiving yards (624) … among tight ends only, ranked second in the conference for receptions behind Houston’s Tanner Koziol, who led the league with 74 catches … was third in the conference for receiving yards among tight ends, trailing both Koziol (727) and Baylor’s Michael Trigg (694).

- Found the end zone twice in his Red Raider debut as part of three catches for 42 yards in the season-opening win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff … both touchdowns came in the first quarter on 21-yard and 9-yard passes from Behren Morton, giving the Red Raiders an early 23-0 lead … marked the first multi-touchdown performance of his career.
- All five of his touchdown receptions came in the first half of the regular season … followed with only one catch against Kent State (9/6) but it went for a season-long 50 yards in the win … tackled at the 3-yard line, setting up a Reggie Virgil touchdown pass the next play to give the Red Raiders a 48-0 lead at the half … marked the second-longest reception thus far in his career.
- Recorded his lone 100-yard outing of the season and the third of his career to close non-conference play versus Oregon State (9/13) … caught six passes for 102 yards and a touchdown as one of three Red Raiders with 100-yard receiving performances … joined by Coy Eakin (123) and J’Koby Williams (116) to become the first Red Raider trio to eclipse 100 receiving yards since 2014 when Jakeem Grant, Bradley Marquez and DeAndre Washington did so versus Baylor at AT&T Stadium … touchdown came via a 23-yard connection with Behren Morton to start the second half, pushing the Red Raiders’ lead to 35-0 at the time.
- Began Big 12 play with seven catches for 49 yards and a touchdown at Utah (9/20) … broke the game open for the Red Raiders by hauling in a 24-yard fade down the left side from Will Hammond to take a 20-10 lead with 8:29 remaining in regulation … set up a Stone Harrington 58-yard field goal just before halftime with a 11-yard reception over the middle … converted a 3rd-and-5 late in the fourth quarter to set up Cameron Dickey’s 24-yard touchdown run that sealed the victory.
- Limited to only three catches for 26 yards in the win at Houston (10/4) and three receptions for 28 yards versus Kansas … performance versus Kansas featured his final touchdown catch of the season, which came on a 21-yard pass from Behren Morton on Texas Tech’s second drive of the game … the Red Raiders took a 15-0 lead on the touchdown.
- Bounced back from no catches at Arizona State by hauling in four receptions for 81 yards at Kansas State (11/1) … had catches of 30 and 38 yards in the win, with both leading to scoring drives … followed with four catches for 41 yards the next week versus BYU (11/8) and two receptions for 13 yards versus UCF (11/15) … also carried once for 12 yards to set up a touchdown in the win over the Knights.
- Set a career high with 10 catches in the regular-season finale at West Virginia (11/29) … nearly found the end zone on Texas Tech’s opening possession before his 27-yard gain was stopped at the 1-yard line … the Red Raiders scored a play later for an early 7-0 lead … had three catches for 49 yards on the opening drive alone en route to recording his entire receiving total prior to halftime.
- Hauled in a needed two-point conversion in the Edward Jones Big 12 Championship win over BYU (12/6) to give the Red Raiders a 21-7 lead late in the third quarter … added three catches for 22 yards in the victory … came close to matching his career high for receptions in the Edward Jones Big 12 Championship versus Oregon (1/1), finishing with nine catches for 72 yards … gave the Red Raiders some hope in the loss to the Ducks with a 24-yard catch to close the third quarter, setting up the Red Raiders inside the Oregon 10-yard line at only a 13-0 deficit.

- Spent first three seasons of collegiate career with the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns in Lafayette, La. … played in 26 career games and made 15 starts at Louisiana … considered one of the nation’s top tight ends in the transfer portal prior to signing with Texas Tech.
- Combined for 76 receptions, 944 receiving yards and seven receiving touchdowns over 25 games the previous two seasons (2023-24) ... bulk of yardage came during a breakout sophomore season in 2024 … appeared in only one game as a true freshman in 2022 … combined for 990 offensive snaps over his three seasons at Louisiana according to Pro Football Focus.
- 2024 SEASON (SOPHOMORE at LOUISIANA): started all 13 games during his sophomore year at Louisiana ... did not participate in Ragin' Cajuns bowl game … tabbed to the All-Sun Belt first team in first season as the Rajin' Cajuns starting tight end … ranked second on the team in receptions (48), receiving yards (689), receiving touchdowns (4) and receiving yards per game (53.0).
