- Redshirt season … switched from defense to the running back room late in preseason camp to provide additional depth … ultimately appeared in only the first two games of the season against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (8/30) and Kent State (9/6) … lone carry of the year was versus Kent State.
- Scout team member … recognized as the offensive scout team player of the week by the coaching staff following Texas Tech’s win in the season opener versus UAPB.
HIGH SCHOOL
- Attended Wylie East High School, a 6A program in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex … a dual threat targeted by the Red Raiders as a defensive back who played running back and safety at the prep level … helped push Wylie East to a 9-1 regular season as a senior and an appearance in the area round of the Class 6A playoffs, finishing 10-2 overall.
- A back-to-back honoree for the District 9-6A Two-Way Player of the Year his junior and senior seasons … responsible for two interceptions, 10 pass breakups, two forced fumbles and 24 tackles during senior season on defense … accounted for 1,150 rushing yards on 126 attempts while posting 1,405 all-purpose yards on the other side of the ball …
- Named the K104 FM Week 8 “Beast of the Week” following a game that included a 63-yard interception return for a touchdown and 91 rushing yards and a pair of scores … tabbed a Dallas-area week 10 top performer by the Dallas Morning News for a 190-yard, five-touchdown game on the ground versus Garland on Nov. 1.
- Carried 76 times for 614 yards over 11 games as a junior, finishing with 800 all-purpose yards and 13 touchdowns as a running back … recorded 32 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss and a pair of interceptions defensively to earn District 9-6A Two-Way Player of the Year honors for the first time.
- Garnered District 9-6A Defensive Newcomer of the Year honors as a sophomore and first team All-District accolades as a sophomore safety … finished that season with 86 tackles, 6.0 tackles for loss and eight interceptions, including two defensive touchdowns … also scored twice for the offense that year.
- Three-sport athlete who also participated on the basketball and track teams.
- Offered by the Red Raiders on Christmas Day of 2023 and committed on Jan. 23, 2024 … earned offers after that time but remained committed to Texas Tech … a consensus 3-star recruit by the likes of On3, 247 Sports, ESPN and Rivals … CHOSE TEXAS TECH OVER: Texas State, UTEP and UTSA.
