HIGH SCHOOL
- Redshirt season … appeared in only one game, which came in the shutout victory over Oklahoma State (10/25) … was the third quarterback to enter versus the Cowboys, completing his lone pass attempt for eight yards while also rushing once for three yards.
- Scout team member … named the offensive scout team player of the week following Texas Tech’s win over Kent State.
HIGH SCHOOL
- Local product out of Frenship High School … guided by head coach Jay Northcutt and helped steer a 10-2 campaign in 2024.
- Led the state (Division 6A) with 4,438 passing yards as a senior in 2024 in what was his only varsity season with significant time at quarterback ... waited behind future college players such as Donovan Smith (Texas Tech/Houston), Chad Pharies (Angelo State) and Hudson Hutcheson (Kansas State).
- Completed 261-of-349 pass attempts for 4,438 yards, 57 touchdowns and seven interceptions as a senior for the 10-2 Tigers ... those were the best marks in school history for completion percentage (74.8%) and passing touchdowns in a single season … named the 2024 Lubbock Avalanche-Journal’s big-school football player of the year.
- Took advantage of his opportunity early, throwing for 508 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions in the 2024 season opener, a 48-46 loss to state-ranked Trophy Club Nelson.
- A three-sport athlete as a standout on the baseball and basketball teams as well.
- Originally a college baseball commit for Angelo State that was set to graduate in May but altered to a commitment to the Red Raider football team in December … graduated early, foregoing the remainder of the basketball season and upcoming baseball season … joined the Red Raiders alongside Frenship teammate Leyton Stone, who he connected with for 70 passes for 1,488 yards and 29 touchdowns during the 2024 season.
