- Appeared in 10 games as a redshirt freshman as part of the outside linebacker rotation … credited with three pressures over his 69 defensive snaps by Pro Football Focus, which all came in the first two games of the season versus Arkansas-Pine Bluff (8/30) and Kent State (9/6).
- Recorded two tackles on the season, which both came during Big 12 play … tackle versus Kansas (10/11) resulted in a 15-yard loss following a David Bailey strip sack earlier in the play … added his other tackle in the regular-season finale at West Virginia (11/29).
- NCAA TRANSFER PORTAL: entered the transfer portal following the season, eventually signing with TCU.
2024 SEASON (FRESHMAN)
- Redshirt season … appeared in one game as a true freshman, which came in the regular-season finale against West Virginia (11/30).
- Scout team member … recognized as the defensive scout team player of the week following Texas Tech’s victory over Arizona State in its Big 12 opener.
HIGH SCHOOL
- Attended Sachse High School in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex … one of the top edge rushers in the country for the 2024 class … helped push Sachse to the Class 6A playoffs each of his final two seasons.
- Named an All-District 9-6A first-team selection as a senior after logging 55 tackles, 12.0 tackles for loss and 7.0 sacks … added three pass breakups from the trenches and a fumble recovery that went for a touchdown … was previously a second team All-District 9-6A selection as a junior in 2022 following 43 tackles and 3.0 sacks.
- Multi-sport athlete at Sachse as a member of the track and field program … competed in both the shot put and discus as well as the 100 and 200 meters as well as the 4x200-meter relay despite his standing on the defensive line.
- Consensus four-star prospect by the likes of Rivals, 247Sports, ESPN and On3 … a top-300 recruit by On3, ESPN and Rivals and a Texas top-100 prospect by all four publications … ranked as high as No. 140 among recruits nationally by On3 as well as No. 210 by ESPN and No. 224 by Rivals … the No. 25 recruit in Texas by On3 and the No. 14 edge player in the country …
- Listed as high as 12th nationally among edge players by Rivals … one of the top prospects at that position, also ranking 19th nationally by 247Sports and 24th by ESPN … tabbed as the No. 34 recruit in Texas by ESPN, No. 36 by Rivals and No. 41 by 247Sports … ranked 35th overall among DFW recruits in the 2024 class by the Dallas Morning News … CHOSE TEXAS TECH OVER: Arizona State, California, Ole Miss, Purdue, SMU, Vanderbilt, among others.
