2024 SEASON (JUNIOR)
- Boosted a deep tight end room during his first season as a Red Raider, appearing in all 13 games … part of a tight end rotation with Mason Tharp and Jalin Conyers that had the entire trio at more than 350 offensive snaps each.
- AWARDS AND HONORS: recognized prior to the season on the watch lists for the Reese’s Senior Bowl and the Shrine Bowl 1,000 list.
- Caught 10 passes for 122 yards and three touchdowns on the season … one of only five players with three or more touchdown catches, joining Coy Eakin (7), Caleb Douglas (6), Josh Kelly (5) and fellow tight end Conyers (5) … now has 10 touchdown receptions for his college career between his time as a Red Raider and at Elon … recorded a reception in eight different contests.
- Praised for his ability to be a reliable in the passing game as well as an effective run blocker … part of a Texas Tech offensive front that helped push Tahj Brooks to his second-consecutive 1,500-yard rushing season … as a team, the Red Raiders were ninth in the country for total offense per game (462.7) and passing yards per game (296.7).
- Received a 70.8 grade as a run blocker by Pro Football Focus and then a 79.1 grade as an extra pass blocker … did not allow a sack or a pressure in his 22 pass blocking opportunities … publication credited him with 379 offensive snaps and then four on defense after experimenting as an edge rusher against both Baylor and Iowa State due to numerous injuries to Texas Tech’s outside linebacker room.
- Reliable on special teams in addition to his role on the offense … credited with 188 snaps on special teams as a regular member of the kickoff return, field goal protection and punt coverage units … saw time on every special team unit during the season, adding punt block duties late in the year.
- Made his first career catch as a Red Raider in the season opener versus Abilene Christian (8/31), which resulted in seven yards … his three touchdowns on the season came over the next three weeks with big plays at Washington State (9/7) and then versus North Texas (9/14) and Arizona State (9/21)
- On the receiving end of a 20-yard touchdown pass from Coy Eakin to complete a trick play for Texas Tech’s first touchdown late in the second quarter against Washington State … was his lone catch in the contest … followed with two catches for 55 yards in the rout over North Texas, which included a 45-yard touchdown strike from Behren Morton midway through the second quarter that gave the Red Raiders a 45-7 lead … was his longest catch of the season and the fourth-longest of his career.
- Combined for five catches for 44 yards during Big 12 play … had one catch for a five-yard touchdown versus Arizona State (9/21), one for 13 yards against Baylor (10/19), one for five yards against Colorado (11/9) and then two grabs for 21 yards in the win at Oklahoma State (11/23) … final catch went for a four yard loss in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl against Arkansas (12/27).
PRIOR TO TEXAS TECH
- Arrived at Texas Tech following three years at Elon (2021-23), giving him two seasons of eligibility with the Red Raiders… appeared in 25 games as a Phoenix while making 21 starts.
- Combined to make 52 catches for 658 yards and seven touchdowns during that span with two additional blocked kicks on special teams … bulk of his receptions came over the 2022-23 campaigns … closed his career as Elon’s all-time career leader in receiving yards by a tight end … also the school’s tight ends leader for single-game and single-season receiving yards.
- 2023 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): started in 10 games on the season as a first team All-CAA selection … caught 25 passes for 453 yards and four touchdowns, marking the most single-season receiving yards by a tight end in school history … ranked sixth in the FCS for receiving yards per game by a tight end.
- Hauled in a touchdown pass in each of the final four games of the season … went over 100 yards for the first time in his career during that stretch with five receptions for 101 yards at Delaware (11/4) … marked the first 100-yard receiving game all-time by an Elon tight end … also had two catches for 70 yards the week prior versus Monmouth (10/21) and five catches for 82 yards two weeks before that against N.C. Central (10/7).
- Totaled 50 or more receiving yards in five games overall with four catches for 55 yards at Campbell (9/23) and two for 57 yards in the season finale against Hampton (11/18) … nearly made it six games with two catches for 49 yards early in the season at Gardner-Webb (9/9) … credited with 216 yards after catch by Pro Football Focus over his 558 offensive snaps.
- 2022 SEASON (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN): started in all 11 games participated in … played in each regular season game but missed first round playoff loss to Furman ... closed the season with 26 receptions for 201 yards and three touchdowns … finished fourth on the team in receptions.
- Hauled in his first receiving touchdown of his career on a 25-yard strike in overtime in a win over Richmond (10/1) … also had one of his two blocked field goals in that win … followed with another receiving touchdown the next week against Towson (10/8) … recorded season highs with four catches for 31 yards at Wofford (9/10) … also had four receptions at Rhode Island, which also featured his other blocked field goal attempt … inserted on defense for the final play of the game in the win at William & Mary (9/24), knocking down a Hail Mary pass … began the season with three receptions for 24 yards at Vanderbilt (9/3).
- 2021 SEASON (FRESHMAN): redshirt season … played in each of the final four games of the season … registered his first career reception in the season finale against Rhode Island (11/20), resulting in four yards.
HIGH SCHOOL
- Attended Dudley High School in Greensboro, N.C. … two-year varsity starter that earned all-conference honors as a junior … elected a team captain that same year … recognized with the Scholar-Athlete Award as a junior … also competed for the Dudley basketball program.
