- Local product out of Frenship High School in Lubbock ... one of the top area athletes during prep career, immediately boosting the Tigers … took snaps at defensive back and quarterback during his high school career but starred as a wide receiver.
- Totaled more than 3,500 receiving yards over his prep career as a three-year varsity letterwinner … enjoyed a breakout season as a sophomore with 87 catches for 1,428 yards and 17 touchdowns to earn All-District 2-6A second team honors … helped lead Frenship to the area round of the Class 6A playoffs both his sophomore and junior seasons before falling to a Southlake Carroll team that advanced to at least the state semifinals both years.
- Collected first team All-District 2-6A accolades as a junior after tallying 81 receptions for 1,497 yards and 18 touchdowns … also ran for 316 yards and six touchdowns on only 38 carries that season en route to pushing the Tigers to a District 2-6A title … all-around threat with a kick return for a touchdown and 97 passing yards and two touchdowns as a quarterback … member of the big school All-Area first team compiled by the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal as well as a third team All-State honoree by the Texas Sports Writers Association (TSWA).
- Finished with 51 catches for 889 yards and 13 touchdowns as a senior before his season was cut short due to injury … added another 121 yards and five touchdowns on the ground, while also throwing for 154 yard sand two touchdowns at quarterback … the Tigers were still able to make a playoff appearance for a third-consecutive year to end his prep career.
- A standout basketball player for the Tigers, recording more than 1,000 points in his career despite not playing as a senior … named to the All-Area Super Team as a junior after leading Frenship to a district and area titles … made his mark on the track as well as a regional qualifier in both the 4x100 and 4x200-meter relays ... named one of the top dual-sport athletes in the state for his impressive football and basketball numbers by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football.
- One of three recent Frenship graduates to join the Red Raider football program, joining quarterback Holden Phillips and fellow wide receiver Leyton Stone, both 2025 graduates … committed to Texas Tech on July 22, 2025, ahead of his senior season … graduated from Frenship in December 2025 in order to enroll at Texas Tech as an early enrollee.
- A consensus four-star prospect by the likes of Rivals, 247Sports and ESPN … one of the top recruits in the country as a consensus top-300 prospect … ranked as high as No. 63 nationally by Rivals and No. 7 among recruits in the state of Texas … listed as the No. 12 prospect in the state of Texas by 247Sports and at No. 30 by ESPN … among the top wide receiver recruits in the country, ranking 12th nationally by Rivals as well as 16th by 247Sports and No. 36 by ESPN … CHOSE TEXAS TECH OVER: Arizona, Arkansas, Baylor, Kansas State, North Carolina, Utah, Tennessee, SMU and others.

- Chase Campbell ... born in Fayetteville, Arkansas and calls Lubbock home ... son of Marcus and Deedee Campbell ... has a younger sister, Camdyn.
- Both parents are former college student-athletes at Arkansas with his father as a defensive back of the football program and his mother in track and field … grandfather, Darrell Brown, was also a football student-athlete at Arkansas … mother garnered All-America honors in the outdoor heptathlon twice during her career (2000, 2002) while claiming three SEC individual titles … she was inducted into the Arkansas Sports Hall of Honor in 2015 as well as the state of Arkansas Track and Field Hall of Fame that same year … she is now Texas Tech’s Senior Associate Athletics Director and Senior Woman Administrator.
