- Totaled more than 3,500 receiving yards over his prep career as a three-year varsity letterwinner โฆ enjoyed a breakout season as a sophomore with 87 catches for 1,428 yards and 17 touchdowns to earn All-District 2-6A second team honors โฆ helped lead Frenship to the area round of the Class 6A playoffs both his sophomore and junior seasons before falling to a Southlake Carroll team that advanced to at least the state semifinals both years.

- Both parents are former college student-athletes at Arkansas with his father as a defensive back of the football program and his mother in track and field โฆ grandfather, Darrell Brown, was also a football student-athlete at Arkansas โฆ mother garnered All-America honors in the outdoor heptathlon twice during her career (2000, 2002) while claiming three SEC individual titles โฆ she was inducted into the Arkansas Sports Hall of Honor in 2015 as well as the state of Arkansas Track and Field Hall of Fame that same year โฆ she is now Texas Techโs Senior Associate Athletics Director and Senior Woman Administrator.
