PRIOR TO TEXAS TECH
- One of the top transfer additions for the Red Raiders ahead of the 2026 season … two-time selection to the All-Mountain West first team that will spend his final season of eligibility as a Red Raider after transferring from San Diego State … appeared in 40 games as an Aztec with 26-consecutive starts for his hometown school.
- Combined for 129 tackles (76 solo) over three full seasons, including 31.0 for a loss and 19.5 sacks, with the bulk of that total coming over his final two years as an Aztec … one of only two players in all of college football to record at least 28.0 tackles for loss and 19.0 sacks combined over the 2024-25 seasons, joining Colin Simmons of Texas … his 19.5 sacks were the third-highest total in the FBS during that span, trailing only a fellow Red Rader in David Bailey (21.5) and Simmons (21.0).
- Ended his tenure with the Aztecs among the top sack leaders in school history … his 19.5 sacks over his career ranked sixth all-time in program history and places him among the leading returner sack leaders in the FBS entering the 2026 season … tied with Minnesota’s Anthony Smith for second among returning FBS career leaders for sacks, trailing only Simmons (21.0) of Texas.
- Contributed to San Diego State’s takeaway total with a forced fumble, fumble recovery and an interception in addition to his work in the backfield … added four pass breakups from the line of scrimmage as well … credited with 1,621 defensive snaps by Pro Football Focus and an additional 294 on special teams … publication awarded him 100 pressures as an Aztec, including 93 the past two seasons alone.
- Listed as the No. 16 overall player to enter the transfer portal following the 2025 season by ESPN and at No. 46 by The Athletic … was the fifth-highest rated edge player in ESPN’s rankings, helping give the Red Raiders one of the nation’s top transfer classes … was No. 7 among edge players according to The Athletic.
- 2025 SEASON (JUNIOR AT SAN DIEGO STATE): key member of one of the nation’s top defenses during final season as an Aztec, starting in all 13 games en route to earning All-Mountain West first team honors for a second-straight year … marked the second-consecutive season to start in every game … helped push San Diego State to 9-4 overall record as the Aztecs ranked sixth nationally for scoring defense at 15.4 points per game and 11th for total defense at 293.7 yards allowed a contest.
- Totaled 53 tackles on the season (26 solo), including 10.5 for a loss and 7.0 sacks, to go along with a pass breakup … recorded three or more tackles in all but one game on the season and had at least a share of a tackle for loss in eight different contests … of that total, five of those games featured a sack … one of only five players to record at least 10.0 tackles for loss and 7.0 sacks in back-to-back seasons over the 2024-25 campaigns, joining Colin Simmons (Texas), Cley Lubin (Coastal Carolina/Louisville), Dani Dennis-Sutton (Penn State) and Gabe Jacas (Illinois).
- Recorded a five-game stretch during front half of the season with a tackle for loss, beginning at Washington State (9/6) with six tackles and 1.5 for a loss … had his lone pass breakup of the season versus the Cougars as well … followed with four tackles versus California (9/20), seven at Northern Illinois (9/27), three versus Colorado State (10/3) and four at Nevada (10/11) … performance against Colorado State included a season-high 2.0 tackles for loss – both sacks.
- Matched that season high with another 2.0 tackles for loss a few weeks later versus Wyoming (11/1) and in the regular-season finale at New Mexico (11/28) … had three tackles against the Cowboys as well as again the next week at Hawaii (11/8) … matched another season high with seven tackles the following weekend with seven tackles (11/15) against Boise State (11/15), including one assisted stop that went for a loss.
- Closed his San Diego State tenure with four tackles against both San Jose State (11/22) and then at New Mexico … one of his tackles for loss against the Lobos was his final sack of the season … played in Fresno State’s loss to North Texas in the New Mexico Bowl, finishing with four tackles for a third-consecutive game … entered the transfer portal shortly after the bowl game.
- Credited with 642 defensive snaps by Pro Football Focus, which awarded him an 82.9 overall grade, the highest of his career … listed with 51 total pressures on the year, which ranked tied for 18th in the FBS among edge rushers and third in the Mountain West … received a 78.0 overall grade as a pass rusher to go along with a 79.4 grade in rush defense and 73.1 as a tackler.
- 2024 SEASON (SOPHOMORE AT SAN DIEGO STATE): put together his best season of his Aztec career, ranking among the national leaders for both tackles for loss and sacks … did so while playing and starting in all 12 games, eventually earning All-Mountain West first team accolades for the first time in his career … elected a team captain by his peers, becoming the first Aztec underclassman to receive the honor (along with Tano Letuli) since 2005.
- Recorded 60 tackles on the year (40 solo), including 18.5 for a loss and 12.5 sacks, to go along with a forced fumble and two pass breakups … ended the year as the Mountain West leader and ranked tied for fifth in the FBS for total sacks and seventh for total tackles for loss … his game average for both categories ranked fourth overall in the FBS and led the Mountain West.
- Moved into the San Diego State record book, closing the year ranked third all-time for single-season sacks and 13th for total tackles for loss … trailed only Mike Douglass’ 21.0 sacks from 1976 and Brett Faryniarz’s 13.0 sacks from 1987 on San Diego State’s single-season chart … marked the most tackles for loss in a season by an Aztec since Cameron Thomas had 20.5 in 2021.
- Joined the record book for single-game tackles for loss and sacks that season as well with top performances at Central Michigan (9/28) and versus Hawaii (10/5) … recorded 4.0 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks in both contests, which ranked tied for fifth in San Diego State single-game history for both categories … tabbed the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 7 for his performance against Hawaii.
- Recorded eight tackles in the loss at Central Michigan before following with five stops versus Hawaii … previously began the season with five tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a shared sack in the opener versus Texas A&M-Commerce (8/31) … stripped a Commerce rusher during one of his tackles for loss, which was recovered by the Aztecs in the end zone for a touchdown to take a 16-6 lead … had four tackles the next week versus Oregon State (9/7).
- Began a four-game stretch at California (9/14) with a combined 13.5 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks … posted six tackles versus Golden Bears, which included 2.5 for a loss – all sacks … followed with his two performances versus Central Michigan and Hawaii before ending that run with four tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks at Wyoming (10/12) … shared a sack as part of three tackles versus Washington State (10/26) to mark his fifth-consecutive game to reach the quarterback.
- Closed the year with a career-high nine tackles in the regular-season finale versus Air Force (11/30) … final sack of the season came a week earlier at Utah State (11/23) as part of seven tackles and 2.0 tackles for loss … kicked off the month of November with two tackles at Boise State (11/1), four versus New Mexico (11/8) and three at UNLV (11/16).
- Credited with 732 defensive snaps by Pro Football Focus, which gave him a 74.4 grade as a pass rusher and a 69.2 grade overall … publication listed him with 42 total pressures, which easily led the team and ranked third in the Mountain West … part of an additional 96 snaps on special teams as well with the vast majority coming as part of punt coverage (49).
- 2023 SEASON (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN AT SAN DIEGO STATE): emerged into the defensive line rotation during second season, seeing time in all 12 games with one start … recorded 15 tackles on the year (9 solo) to go along with a fumble recovery and an interception … had 2.0 tackles for loss, both that came during Mountain West Conference play.
- Picked off the lone pass of his San Diego State career in the season opener versus Ohio (8/26) … interception came on Ohio’s first drive of the second quarter … followed with three tackles the next week against Idaho State (9/2) and then a fumble recovery versus UCLA (9/9) … fell on a strip sack at the UCLA 1-yard line midway through the third quarter.
- Made the first start of his career in the regular-season finale versus Fresno State (11/25), finishing with a season-high four tackles … one of five games on the season with multiple stops after recording two tackles at Hawaii (10/14), versus Nevada (10/21) and at Colorado State (11/11) … performance against Nevada featured one of his two tackles for loss on the year with the other coming at San Jose State (11/18).
- 2022 SEASON (FRESHMAN AT SAN DIEGO STATE): appeared in the final three games of the season during his first season at the collegiate level … recorded his lone tackle and quarterback hurry on the season in the EasyPost Hawai’i Bowl versus Middle Tennessee (12/24) … tabbed the team’s special teams scout team player of the year following the season.

- Attended Eastlake High School in Chula Vista, Calif., near San Diego … three-year letterwinner, starring on both sides of the ball for the Titans … primarily played defensive end and linebacker at the prep level but was inserted on occasion at running back.
- Earned first team All-Mesa League honors following each of his three varsity seasons … tabbed the Mesa League Defensive Player of the Year as a junior during the 2021 spring football season … named the team’s MVP twice as well, leading Eastlake to a Metro Mesa title as a senior.
- Credited with 64 tackles (45 solo) as a senior according to MaxPreps, including 13.0 sacks to go along with 19 quarterback hurries, a forced fumble and two pass breakups … closed his prep career with 26.0 total sacks.
- Multi-sport athlete, also competing for the Eastlake track program as a senior … finished fourth in the California Interscholastic Federation - San Diego Section (CIFSDS) that season after a throw of 47-0 in the shut put … personal best that season went 47-10 a few weeks earlier.
