- Teammates with fellow Texas Tech signee Stephen Cannon at Benedictine with the two helping lead the Cadets to the GHSA Class 4A state championship game his junior year at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta … while known for his defensive play, actually threw a touchdown pass in the state title game via a trick play … played for one of the top high school programs in the state at Benedictine, which annually produces Division-I products.
- Closed his junior year – his final season at the prep level – with 76 tackles, 15.0 tackles for loss, 7.0 sacks and 27 quarterback hurries to earn first team All-State honors by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution … earned first team All-Greater Savannah honors by the Savannah Morning News in each of his three seasons.
