- Ranked among Texas Tech’s leaders on special teams for a second-straight season as a junior … appeared in all 14 games as a member of kickoff coverage and the kickoff return units … saw time defensively as well as a reserve linebacker.
- Recorded five tackles on the season, which came over the first two games in wins over Arkansas-Pine Bluff (8/30) and Kent State (9/6) … totaled a career-high four tackles in the season opener versus Pine Bluff, all on defense … followed with one stop on kickoff coverage the next week against Kent State.
- Credited with 145 snaps on special teams by Pro Football Focus, which ranked seventh on the team … of that total, 104 came via kickoff coverage, which was tied for second on the team behind only fellow inside linebacker Brock Golwas (105) … has more than 429 career snaps on special teams now over his career entering his 2026 senior season.
2024 SEASON (REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE)
- Returned from injury to appear in all 13 games as a redshirt sophomore, establishing a role as a key special teams contributor … ranked second on the team with 206 special teams snaps according to Pro Football Focus, which trailed only John Curry (272) … member of the kickoff return and coverage units throughout the season, while also seeing time on punt coverage and punt returns.
- Credited with two tackles on the season, which both came in the Big 12 opener against Arizona State (9/21) … the Sun Devils were limited to less than 20 yards on both returns that featured a tackle …
- Member of the scout team … recognized by the coaching staff following the Arizona State victory as the offensive scout team player of the week for his performance mirroring Sun Devil running back Cam Skattebo throughout preparations … Skattebo was limited to a season-low 60 rushing yards against the Red Raiders.
- AWARDS AND HONORS: named the recipient of the Dare to be Great Award following the season for his commitment in strength and conditioning workouts.
2023 SEASON (SOPHOMORE)
- Redshirt season … limited to only three games played due to an injury suffered during non-conference play.
- Recorded four tackles on the season with three coming against Oregon (9/9) and the other versus Tarleton State (9/16) … one of his stops against the Ducks went for a one-yard loss, his first tackle for loss of his career … credited with 32 defensive snaps prior to his injury in the Tarleton State game … in on seven defensive snaps versus Oregon and then 25 in the win over Tarleton.
- Key member of Texas Tech’s special teams as well as part of the kickoff and punt coverage units … had entered the season as a backup at the Mike linebacker position.
2022 SEASON (FRESHMAN)
- One of only two true freshmen to play in more than four games in 2022, joining Joseph Adedire … appeared in seven games overall, all on special teams.
- Credited with 48 snaps by Pro Football Focus on special teams, generally as part of kickoff coverage … also saw action briefly on punt return and kickoff return units … graded out at 71.0 by PFF, which ranked fifth on the team among players who played in four or more games.
- Made his lone tackle on the season in the TaxAct Texas Bowl win over Ole Miss (12/28) as part of kickoff coverage.
HIGH SCHOOL
- Attended Legacy High School in Midland, Texas … one of the top players in the Permian Basin his final two seasons … helped push Legacy to the Class 6A Division I area round as both a junior and senior.
- Named the District 2-6A Defensive MVP each of his final two seasons after racking up 252 tackles and 30.0 tackles for loss those two years alone … was a first team All-District selection those two seasons as well … recognized as an honorable mention All-State honoree as a senior by the Texas Sports Writers Association (TSWA) … honored as the Midland Reporter-Telegram’s Defensive Player of the Year following his senior season in 2021 after registering 133 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and seven sacks.
- Participated as a member of the track and field program in addition to football.
