- Joined the Red Raiders as a mid-year enrollee after three seasons at Tulsa … expected to add to Texas Tech’s quarterback depth, giving the Red Raiders three signal callers with starting experience … will have two seasons of eligibility remaining as a Red Raider.
- Combined to complete 270-of-462 passes (58.4 percent) for 3,045 yards and 18 touchdowns over 18 games during his Tulsa career … hometown product who began his career as a walk-on before eventually making 10 starts over his three seasons … credited with 894 offensive snaps during his career at Tulsa by Pro Football Focus.
- 2025 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): elected team captain prior to his sophomore season, which was limited to only three games – all starts … completed 53-of-88 passes on the season for 493 yards and three touchdowns with starts against Abilene Christian (8/30) and New Mexico State (9/6) during non-conference play and then at Memphis (10/4) during the American Conference slate.
- Completed 20-of-31 passes overall for 218 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the season opener versus Abilene Christian … left the New Mexico State game the next week early due to injury, finishing with only 100 yards on 13-of-23 passing … did not return until the road trip to Memphis, his final outing of the season, which featuring 175 passing yards and a touchdown on 20-of-34 attempts.
- 2024 SEASON (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN): entered the season as a scholarship quarterback following his impressive debut as a true freshman … began the season as Tulsa’s starter, ultimately appearing in 11 contests with seven starts … completed 149-of-253 passes on the season (58.9 percent) for 1,585 yards and nine touchdowns, throwing for at least 200 yards in three different contests.
- Best performance came in the season opener versus Northwestern State (8/29) after throwing for 299 yards and a career-high four touchdowns in the season … completed 76.7 percent of his passes (23-of-30) in the win … surpassed the 200-yard mark two more times on the season with 228 passing yards and a touchdown at Louisiana Tech (9/21) and 226 yards and a pair of scores in the regular-season finale versus Florida Atlantic (11/30) … led Tulsa on an eight-play, 45-yard drive in the final few minutes to tie the game at Louisiana Tech and then eventually win it in overtime.
- 2023 SEASON (FRESHMAN): redshirt season … played in the final four games of the season, starting the final two contests despite joining the program that offseason as a walk-on … lone quarterback to see action over the final two games of the year … threw for 967 yards and six touchdowns on the year after completing 56.0 percent of his passes (68-of-121) … averaged an impressive 241.8 passing yards per game over the final four games of the season, earning him an 82.4 overall grade by Pro Football Focus and an 80.1 grade as a passer.
- Made his collegiate debut versus Charlotte (11/4), completing 6-of-16 passes for 74 yards off the bench … inserted again off the bench a week later at No. 20 Tulane (11/11) for possibly best performance of the season, finishing 22-of-34 overall passing for 345 yards and a touchdown … marked the second-most passing yards by a freshman in school history, trailing only the 386 yards from T.J. Rubley in the 1987 season opener against Oklahoma State … nearly led Tulsa back from an early 14-0 deficit, starting with his first career touchdown pass early in the second quarter, which was an 8-yard toss to Kamdyn Benjamin … named to the AAC weekly honor roll for his performance in New Orleans.
- Earned his first career start a week later versus North Texas (11/18) in another strong performance that featured 251 passing yards an a season-high three touchdowns … led Tulsa to a season-ending win at East Carolina (11/25) by completing 23-of-37 passes for 297 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing three times for 23 yards … led Tulsa on a final drive that went 48 yards in 11 plays to setup a 37-yard game-winning field goal.
HIGH SCHOOL
- Attended Metro Christian High School in Tulsa, Okla. … was a four-year letterwinner and three-year starter for one of the top programs in the state of Oklahoma … helped lead Metro Christian to a 13-1 record his senior year and a runner-up finish in the Class 3A state playoffs.
- Threw for 9,599 passing yards and 115 touchdowns, while completing 66.0 percent of his passes during his prep career … completed 70.0 percent of his passes for 4,384 yard and 58 touchdowns as a senior alone … strong senior campaign led him to rank eighth nationally for passing yards and second for passing touchdowns … ended the season with an Oklahoma state record of 626 passing yards and five touchdowns in the state title game.
- Previously completed 61.0 percent of his passes for 2,850 yards and 28 touchdowns over 12 games as a junior, pushing Metro Christian to an 8-4 record … the Patriots won the Class 2A state crown his sophomore year, his first season as the starting quarterback … completed 29-of-44 passes for 367 yards and five touchdowns in the state championship game to wrap a memorable season … had previously taken over primary quarterback duties midway through that season, finishing with 2,280 passing yards and 29 touchdowns.
- Underrated prospect coming out of high school who stayed home at Tulsa despite offers from the likes of Drake, Fort Hays State, Houston Christian and Missouri Southern State, among others.

- Great grandfather, Sam Francis, was the 1936 Heisman Trophy runner-up as a fullback at Nebraska … later placed fourth in the shot put at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, missing a medal by a half inch … was inducted into the National Football Foundation College Football Hall of Fame in 1977.
